To tell you the truth, when it comes to puzzle games I'm not usually that interested, I just find them frustrating more than fun. Not only does it feature optional goals and multiple room types, but it has lovely 16bit pixel art and a great ambient soundtrack.

Game Type : Adventure/Platformer
Developer/Project By : Lexis Numerique
Kickstarter Goal : $130,000
Developer Quote :  A cross between an adventure game and a platformer set in a universe that combines charm, humor and mystery.
Game Info Quote : Taxi Journey is an original game somewhere between an adventure game and a puzzle game. The aim of this game is to get Zoe to her destination by bypassing various obstacles using the laws of physics (dexterity), finding solutions to situations (puzzles) and interacting with various characters - but only by working together will Gino and Zoe succeed. While Gino is at the wheel, Zoe can throw magic projectiles or put up her protective umbrella – the two characters make a perfect team. Like Limbo, Braid or Machinarium, Taxi Journey relies on dexterity and thought processes. But in Taxi Journey, we are keen to focus on the story and the “adventure” dimension. As you advance in the game by solving puzzles and bypassing obstacles, we also want you to be moved by Gino and Zoe’s budding friendship and feel genuinely concerned about their plight.
Release : Jan 2015
Systems : PC,MAC, Others(?)

Spyra - First person puzzle and combat

Spyra is a new game that is very much still in early development, however it will appeal to those that enjoyed either Doom or Hexen. A title that contains both puzzles and combat, in a first person genre! You play as a writer that has attempted Astral Projection but has gone badly wrong. While leaving his very body an odd sense of displacement possess your character and you awake in the recently deceased shell of a young warrior, on another planet, within another dimension. This is when the fun begins, as you unravel the secrets of the planet you are on, and how to get back to your own body. Spyra by SerygalaCaffeine is certainly looking like a well made title, with some impressive graphics and plenty of rooms, enemies and puzzles, however as was said, it's still in development.
