Hyper Sentinel - A modern Uridium aims for a Kickstarter success

As we said before in our previous article, in the early 80's right up to the early 90's, Hewson Consultants made games for old retro computers, that showed a reputation for producing high quality titles which continually pushed the boundaries of what the computers were capable of. Games such as the fantastic Uridium, Paradroid, Cybernoid, Exolon, Nebulus and many more were just some of the games they released.  But fast forward to today and the team behind that famous company has now launched the Kickstarter for their latest shoot em up 'Hyper Sentinel', which takes the classic Uridium, gives it a good going over and blasts it into the modern age!

The last time we wrote an article on this game we didn't have enough information, as the Kickstarter hadn't launched. But today that has changed as the team behind the game Andrew Hewson & Rob Hewson, with development by Jonathan Port, has finally revealed all, and boy does this game look good, in a modern retro kind of way. Coming to PC and hopefully iOS with goals to bring Hyper to additional platforms. Hyper Sentinel is an intense side-scrolling retro gaming inspired shoot 'em up delivering fast rate action with lots of enemies and ground based objects to destroy!

In this game you control the mighty Sentinel, the most advanced hyper-drive equipped fighter in the fleet. Designed to launch a surprise attack on the Alienoids' most feared space destroyers and to outmaneuver their defences. Collect epic power ups such as bonus points, invincibility, smart bombs and buddy drones. Blast waves of enemies such as the evil alienoid or the horde class and lastly, destroy the most powerful of all, the level guardians such as the Viper Shell, Viper or the Sauceroid!

So much to do, so much to destroy in ' Hyper Sentinel ', welcome back Uridium, oh how we missed you! For further information make sure to check out the latest Kickstarter page for a
£35,000 goal success!
