Fix-It Felix Jr on the Commodore Amiga? Crazy stuff!

I'm sure many of you by now have seen Disney Animation’s Wreck It Ralph; a cartoon which follows the journey of a villain from an old 1980’s arcade game that at the time in reality never actually existed. Well you may or may not know, that not only did it actually spawn a real online and mobile based game called 'Fix-It Felix, Jr.' which played just like a Donkey Kong clone from 1982. But it also spawned a homebrew Sega Genesis emulator version, that had been ported by enthusiast programmer Future Driver for the Genesis/Mega Drive consoles.

NINJFERATU - Amiten Software announces a new Amiga platformer

The Amiga is coming in HOT this month as after already announcing games such as Rygar AGA and Tiny Little Slug, along comes 'NINJFERATU' from Amiten Software. This game which has only just been mentioned and given a heads up by Per Ola Eriksson. Is a brand new game that features a playable Ninja on a mighty quest to collect coins, while traversing landscapes and dealing with deadly enemies across a multitude of levels.

M.KID - An upcoming Amiga game from S0YS0Y

Another Amiga game featured and another heads up from Per Ola, is the upcoming Amiga game 'M.Kid' from S0YS0Y. This game which was announced today, is a new platformer that was not only developed using the RedPull Amiga Game Creator, but is also a conversion/port of the MSX2 game of the same name that was mentioned as being unreleased way back in 1995. The MSX2 game project was pretty advanced but never made it to final release!

Miky's Land - Endless Amiga run and shooter gets new gameplay footage

Per-Ola Eriksson has once again sent us another heads up about the in development game of 'Miky's Land' which is coming to an Amiga near you very soon. Classed as an endless runner, with lots of jumping and shooting involved, this game is being developed by Michael Gibs and is inspired by games such as Wonderboy and Mario. To coincide with this news the developer has released a new update showing us even more gameplay footage including an end of level boss

Slez - An unreleased and difficult Amiga puzzler!

Per-Ola Eriksson has come across a game I've never heard of before, and one that has never been released commercially. That game is Johannes Lipp's 1991 Amiga puzzler ' Slez '; a game in which you look to play as a strange looking sphere that has to traverse a pixelated maze while shooting at things and avoiding crashing into the sides. According to Amiga Games that Weren't ,Slez was one of three games developed by Johannes Lipp including Denjoy and Pot, and would most likely have been seen on German disk magazines (where a game is accompanied by a mini magazine) if released.

Blazing Guns - Amiga shooter gets another update tease

Last year we announced the Aszu and team action platformer 'Blazing Guns' demo which was coded in assembler and star'd a gun slinging gangster that had the ability to run, jump and shoot at enemies such as bats in a game that featured 50fps, pure assembly code and dynamic action on 320x267 screens with up to two player action! That same game, is again in our news feeds ( although a bit late ), as thanks to a heads up by Per Ola Eriksson a Blazing Guns v 0.15 video had been shown, giving us a look at another update to the game itself.

Zodes - Amiga 3D Voxelspace shooter ready for download!

The Amiga scene has kicked up a notch this weekend as once again we've been contacted by Per Ola Eriksson regarding two games that have appeared and he's done a gameplay video of both of them so you can see what they are like. The first one in this article is called ' Zodes ', which was originally available as a game demo on the file site Aminet and is classed as a 3D Voxel space shooter in a first person view point.

Desolate World - An unreleased Amiga game that looks a little bit like GODS

What do you get if you mix the game play and in part, the graphics of The Bitmap Brothers classic 'Gods'; a Platformer from 1991, with a futuristic shooter? You'd probably get this next heads up by Per-Ola Eriksson and video previewed by Hipoonios, the unreleased Amiga game ' Desolate World '. Now as this is an unreleased game, many of you probably haven't heard of it, but thanks to a post by Solaris104, we can tell you this was a demo coverdisk version released as public in a Czech magazine Amiga Review 28!

Plumpy - Earok patches up an AGA Amiga platformer! (Now with a trainer!)

Another heads up by Per-Ola Eriksson and again for the Amiga, is related to the fact Plumpy; an AGA platformer from 1996, has been fixed by Earok and released via the Zone on the EAB forums. Now if you've never heard of this charming little platformer, it was pushed out into the world as a game that could not be completed as three of the levels were broken and could not be passed. Apparently as one such user said, in one level a key has been placed completely out of reach. Thanks to Earok however you can now finish the game as it has been repaired!

Marco! - An unreleased Amiga Jump'n Run game previewed by Per-Ola Eriksson

In 2009 an EAB member by the name of mai came across an unreleased game called 'Marco!', created by Thrustware - Kaiko for the Amiga. It was uploaded to the EAB Zone and is classed as a jump and shoot platformer and was coded by Kai Marcel Teuber, graphics by Marc and music/sfx by Rainer Schef. In the game you play a duck that must traverse across a platform landscape, while wearing a diaper and shooting gobs of green out of your beak against enemies such as fish and flying insects!

Legacy - Unreleased Amiga game shown off in new footage

Per-Ola Eriksson has really been on the ball lately as there's not a week gone by he hasn't shown us a cool video of some unreleased retro game or an Indie game that's well worth playing. So today is no exception, as he's come across an Amiga game called 'Legacy', which was supposed to be released in the 90's by Hexodus and for some reason never officially saw the light of day! True we don't have the commercial product in our hands, but at least we can show you an updated game video.

Fortress - An unfinished Fort Apocalypse clone on the Amiga

Per-Ola Eriksson has contacted us recently about an unfinished game called ' Fortress ' that he has shown working on an Amiga 68k. This game found on the author's website, uploaded with kind permission from Chris Leathley, is an unfinished Fort Apocalypse clone; a clone of a game that was originally released in 1982 on the Atari 8 bit and C64 as a 2D directional scroller where the player navigates an underground prison in a helicopter, destroying enemies and rescuing the prisoners.

Mario Bros - Gameplay footage of an unreleased Amiga Mario game

In 1983 Nintendo released the classic game ' Mario Bros ' for the Arcades, with a number of ports released by other publishers in 1988 for systems such as the Atari 8bit. In fact there was also an unofficial overhauled Atari 8bit version in 2017 called Mario Bros XE by darryl1970. It's such a shame that we haven't been able to play an Amiga version even though one was created in 1993 by Thomas Agermose Jensen. But at least we have some new gameplay footage to show you provided by Per-Ola Eriksson that proves it existed.

Quasarius - The Amiga gets a very Arcade like shoot em up!

Well this took us completely by surprise as usually we keep an eye on games in development, but thanks to a heads up by Per-Ola Erikisson we've just learnt of the release of Raliza Software's Amiga shoot em up ' Quasarius ', which was actually developed by Rafael Lima, music by Akira^G*P and with help of the EAB forums. In regards to the gameplay,  this game is very similar to games such as Galaga in which you need to destroy enemy waves, although  your ship can move in many directions and take on BIG bosses!

Miky's Land - An endless Amiga run and shooter gets new gameplay footage

Per-Ola Eriksson has once again sent us another heads up about the in development game of 'Miky's Land' which is coming to an Amiga near you very soon. Classed as an endless runner, with lots of jumping and shooting involved, this game is being developed by Michael Gibs and is inspired by games such as Wonderboy and Mario. Except as we said before you wont be able to stop to take a breather. In light of this news a new episode 6 game play footage has been released.

Easter Egg - Enjoyable high grade platformer updated for the Amiga

The games just keep on coming and more so Amiga ones, as Per-Ola Eriksson has contacted us about a rather lovely looking game called Easter Egg that has been updated for 2016. Developed in backbone with soundtrack by Andrzej Drozd and graphics by Czeslaw Mnich, Easter Egg is an enjoyable yet challenging 2D arcade game where you play as the role of a chick through 31 levels, collecting eggs and avoiding enemies. Although the demo version was launched in 2014, this latest one features grass, ice and lava stages!
