It's been some time since we've actually featured a PC remake of a classic space game, so to change all that, here's a rather special heads up for you all it's Super Star Trek 25th Anniversary. Star Wars has been getting some serious love right now - and justifiably so. But its older cousin, Star Trek, is of equal importance to many. 1988 saw the release of Star Trek The Rebel Universe from Firebird and this adventure game, with specks of arcade style action, is arguably the best Star Trek game available on the Commodore 64. Putting the arguments of Spock v C-3PO aside there is an extremely decent game here.

You'll also be interested to know that the entirety of the game takes place on the bridge of your ship as you command specific actions by selecting the bridge crew.

Release Info : ST Armada 3 Dev Group have released the first beta of possibly the finest looking Star Trek based total conversion mod that we have yet seen. You'll be able to play as a multitude of different races including my favorite the Klingons, against other well known foes, such as the Borg. The developers have put a ton of work into it and I'm sure once you play, you'll be thinking that this was a proper retail release and not a mod.  This release is currently in beta, but you will need Sins of a Solar Empire : Rebellion to play!
