C64 Roundup Weekly - Another exceptional week for C64 news! [Breaking news update]

This week has been another exceptional week for C64 news. We've seen a world's first C64 programming feat from Antonio Savona, a new Itch.io release, news of some great looking new games, and Commodore Format's world exclusive reveal: the return of a C64 legend. This has to be my last weekly roundup for a couple of weeks while I take a holiday. So enjoy the latest, and I'll be back early April.

Thalamus Kickstarter Launched - 50% funded in first few hours

By now I'm sure you must've heard legendary C64 games house Thalamus have returned, and as promised have launched a cracking Kickstarter project today, to revive their classic back catalog for a new generation. Specifically, the Kickstarter hopes to deliver the official 30th anniversary remaster of classic shoot-em-up Hunter's Moon (Alongside help from Martin Walker (the original programmer). Not only that, but the release will be a physical C64 cartridge version, and Thalamus are going to remaster their entire back catalog in the same way. Enhanced to take advantage of the extended feature set of the cartridge format.

Thalamus Digital Publishing Ltd - The rebirth of the old retro gaming publisher "Thalamus"

Between 1980 and 1990 many of us had the pleasure of playing games released by Thalamus(wiki), such as Hawkeye, Armalyte, Delta, Nobby the Aardvark, Creatures on the C64 and Hawkeye, Armalyte: The Final Run and Venom Wing on the Amiga. But as a complete shock to us we've recently been contacted via our Email that Thalamus is being reborn as Thalamus Digital Publishing Ltd! Yes this is no April fools or some sort of dream, as we have been exclusively told by them they will be bringing back some of the old back catalogue in various ways, including conversions to the Spectrum Next.
