C64 Roundup Weekly - Another exceptional week for C64 news! [Breaking news update]

This week has been another exceptional week for C64 news. We've seen a world's first C64 programming feat from Antonio Savona, a new Itch.io release, news of some great looking new games, and Commodore Format's world exclusive reveal: the return of a C64 legend. This has to be my last weekly roundup for a couple of weeks while I take a holiday. So enjoy the latest, and I'll be back early April.

Rupert and the Toymaker's Party - First time trainer for this cute C64 game

In 1985 there was a cute and family fun game released for the C64 called ' Rupert and the Toymaker's Party ', which was developed by Martin Walker and published by Quicksilver for both the C64 and the ZX Spectrum. This game was based on the very famous cartoon character Rupert Bear and had you tasked with getting to a party in the Toymakers castle, to meet his friends by collecting all the party invitations his friends left behind for him, because he made himself late! So as you now know the basic story of the game, you can once again play it but this time by Hokuto Force who has given the game it's very first trainer; ' Rupert and the Toymaker's Party +3DG '.

9 Lives - Retro Amiga tune converted to the Amstrad CPC!

Ladies and Gentlemen SuTeKH/Epyteor is back with another fantastic chiptune conversion! The same creator behind the top quality album such a 'Now that's what I call chiptunes' has now just released ' 9 Lives ' for the Amstrad CPC, which is another conversion but this time from the Amiga. Originally released by Atari Corp. (UK) Ltd, with graphics by Simon Butler and Music by Martin Walker sounds absolutely fantastic on the Amstrad and well worth downloading the latest Amstrad CPC emulator of JavaCPC to load the disk!

Hunter HD - Action/Adventure classic gets a remake!

Let's go back in time, right back to 1991 when Activsion released 'Hunter' for the Amiga and Atari ST. An action-adventure game that by today's view point would be classed as a Battlefield 4, Grand Theft Auto and Far Cry mix. Expansive, open worlds, a military theme, and the focus on small squads of soldiers or lone heroes. A high grade 3D game with sandbox-type game play, developed by Paul Holmes and music by Martin Walker. If you remember the title, you'll be very pleased to know that there is now a Hunter HD (Fan Remake) proof-of-concept that is in the works by Cherno, that is also playable in your browser right now.
