Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs - Kickstarter Alumni goes for greenlight and imminent release
Back in the '80s there were a plethora of Japanese anime kids TV shows translated for English markets and while there's still one knocking around my head that I can't for the life of me remember the name of, Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs comes awfully close in look and feel... or maybe it's because they all did! Back in October '15, there was a successful kickstarter campaign to bring this IP to modern gaming platforms (as well as PC Engine/TG-16 and Dreamcast) and finally Team Saber Rider are getting close to delivering, with a drive to get the game greenlit on Steam.
The Keep : Retro inspired Dungeon Crawler for Nintendo 3DS
From the developers of the excellent RPG "Inquisitor" of which you can find on GOG, have just announced the release of a fine looking retro inspired Dungeon Crawler "The Keep" for Nintendo 3DS. System 3 celebrates with a Platformer reboot of Putty, it's Putty Squad!
More good news today as System 3 has confirmed that it is bringing Putty Squad to the Wii U and 3DS. What's more, they've even mentioned that it will come to the PC and other platforms as well! Putty was first released on the Amiga in 1992 and this aims to be a remake with improved visuals, enhanced gameplay and the promise of free downloadable levels. They've got a lot to live up to, to beat the original, however looking at the video it looks damn good fun! Lets hope eh?
