DwarfCorp - Dwarf Fortress meets Dungeon Keeper in this rather interesting strategy game!

During 2013 we announced the Kickstarter for Completely Fair Games 'DwarfCorp'; a Dungeon Keeper, Dwarf Fortress mix, in which you needed to lead a colony of dwarves in their quest for profit in a strange new land inhabited by hostile and savage creatures. This game ended up as a Kickstarter success raising $45,783 and was due to be released as a beta during 2014. Yet fast forward to this month and the game is not only available as an early access title, but it's on Steam for Windows, Mac OS X, and SteamOS + Linux

KeeperRL - Ambitious dungeon builder game gets an alpha update

Miki151 has released the latest Alpha update for KeeperRL, which is inspired by other great dungeon creation games such as Dungeon Keeper and Dwarf Fortress but through his own roguelike graphical style. In this game you are an evil Wizard who is seeking the ultimate knowledge of destruction, you can explore worlds, murder innocent villagers, burn their homes or build mighty dungeons with menacing traps against would-be heroes!

Retro-Pixel Castles - Village simulation gets a Kickstarter

I'm such a retro junkie, anything retro and I'm there like a flash, so when I saw Retro-Pixel Castles, I knew it would be something cool. Developed by SixtyGig Games, Retro-Pixel Castles is a village simulation game, that has inspirations from games such as Dwarf Fortress and Banished and mixes it up with other class titles like Don't Starve or RTS elements from Command and Conquer.
