Here are Indie Retro News, we are a huge fan of retro gaming conventions, especially ones that are full to the brim with retro games and hardware mixed up with a little bit of indie. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a mass of old computers lined up, bleeping and bopping away just ready to be played by people of all ages. But if old computers are not your cup of tea (why?!?!) then come and experience true VR, play some of the best Arcades, get ready to make something new in Minecraft or check out the latest modern games... REVIVAL Solstice 2016 - Dedicated retro gaming event 30th & 31st July 2016!

While we wait for the big Replay Margate Event, there's another event you should be apart of that's all about the retro gaming, and all about the fun. And that is ' REVIVAL Solstice 2016 ', which begins on the weekend of 30th-31st July at Banks Stadium, Walsall! Organised by the RRE Team and in association with our good friends Retro Asylum, REVIVAL will have over 100 playable retro consoles and computers, over 50 classic arcade machines, on-stage competitions, large selection of traders, guest talks, and much much more.

2016 is a gaming Play Expo bonanza! Blackpool, London and Margate

If you love your gaming shows full of retro computers to play, developers to talk to and items to buy, then 2016 is a bonanza of fun. As not only do we have the London Gaming Market due in the next few months, but PLAY Expo Blackpool 2016 and PLAY Expo Margate 2016. That's just three of the recommended shows you should be a part of, if you're buying or just playing!

Indie Retro News at GEEK 2015

Indie Retro News is back from the GEEK 2015 gaming expo and it certainly was an enjoyable experience, and unlike the last few years we actually went as press and met many new people and recent friends in the retro scene. So far the expo has been up and running every year and it's a huge tourism boost for Margate, especially as this time GEEK actually sold out and needed more tickets. But unlike last year, there was a slight negative tone from hard-line retro gamers, read on for the highlights!

Back from Geek 2013 - Gaming Expo

Indie Retro News is back from the Geek 2013 Gaming exp and wow was it so much fun! It was everything that Margate needed. As many of you know, Margate is a very run down seaside town and to have such a gaming event such as this, really boosted the tourism trade that Margate so desperately needed.  From the moment you walk in the front doors you just know that this was going to be a lot of fun and most of it was a step back in time, with older generations going " I remember playing this "

GEEK2013 - Geek Expo : Margate UK 21st-24th Feb

Another great retro event is coming our way and we don't have long to wait. Located in The Winter Gardens in Margate(UK) - 21st-24th feb, it will be filled with puzzles, tournaments, consoles and pinball machines. But the main event will be retro computer games, current card and computer games as well as lots more, I can't wait!
