As you know we've done a lot of Kickstarter articles, so I thought it best to update people on the ones that we have featured, that have hit the success goal through the last week. Not every kickstarter has done well though, some haven't even come close, but enough about that, let's look at those success stories!

A Hat in Time - A Nintendo 64 style platformer (MAC/PC) Kickstarter

We get a lot of platformers on Indie Retro News, but it's not often we end up with platformers to that of the N64 era, with it's 3D arcade platforming graphical goodness. But here comes A Hat in Time, by Gears for Breakfast, which has already smashed it's Kickstarter goal by a huge margin. If you loved games like Super Mario 64 then this is the game for you. In this game you have the usual gameplay mechanics such as running, jumping and wall jumping, but the developers have even added an umbrella, which when upgraded gives you a range of cool abilities. As her story progresses, she unlocks additional moves like the hookshot, ground pound and pogo upgrades! This is looking to be a high class title with plenty of enemies to fight, platforms to jump and beautiful 3D high colour graphics, just what the game doctor ordered!

Forsaken Fortress - the post-apocalyptic survival RPG Kickstarter Success!

Another Kickstarter Success and so far it's nearly all the ones featured on Indie Retro News.   Forsaken Fortress is a special RPG in which you assemble your team, build and manage your base, collect resources, and survive in a post-apocalyptic world. My sort of game really and for it to be a success, means I'll be able to play it when it's finished and so will you!

Limit Theory has reached its Kick Starter goal!

That's right! Limit Theory has reached its Kick Starter goal of $50,000 and has surpassed it so far with a grand total of $61,745 Pledged!

Congratulations is in order for Limit Theorys developer Josh Parnell on achieving his goal. We here at IndieRetroNews.com are looking forward to playing the game upon its release. Limit Theory is going to be something truly amazing if it lives up to its developers promises.
