Dunjons - A small turn-based dungeon hack/slash from Zooperdan for the Amiga

The Commodore Amiga scene continues to thrive in 2026, and the latest entry to the library is Dunjons, a light, turn-based dungeon crawler from developer Zooperdan. Created using AmiBlitz3 for the Retro Programmers Inside (RPI) and Phaze101 Maze Game Jam 2026, this hack-and-slash title brings modern tactical depth to classic hardware. Please note generative AI has been used to make the foundation of some images, but they have been heavily modified, and tilesets by pebonius and A* pathfinding from appnjoy have also been heavily modified.

Pjusk - A puzzler from Zooperdan for the Commodore Amiga [UPDATE]

While many of you are looking forward to playing the finished version of 'RallyXSE', there's another game that's worth checking out by the same developer, especially if you like puzzle games, is Zooperdan's Amiga game of 'Pjusk'. A Sokoban like game whereby you must defeat enemies in the right order and collect power-ups along the way to carve your way to the exit. To coincide with this news, there's some further info and footage below.

Mad Santa - A Christmas themed action game from Zooperdan for the Amiga AGA.

Throughout this year our good friend Zooperdan has been creating lots of Puzzle games for the Amiga. Games such as Blok, WordZ and YEET. Well after constantly badgering him to do something different ( I'm just not a puzzle fan :p ), he's now released a Christmas themed arcade shooter called 'Mad Santa'. A Scorpion Engine developed game, that was made in 4 days so it can be added to Amiga Cammy's Christmas Tree (list of Christmas related games for Amiga).

YEET - A small but challenging puzzle game for the Commodore Amiga by Zooperdan

Even more Amiga games to keep you occupied, as thanks to Saberman letting me know through Facebook, I've been told that the legendry Dungeon Crawler fan of Zooperdan, has created another Commodore Amiga game called 'YEET'. While I'm still hopeful of a decent crawler from this developer, this game however, is a small but challenging puzzle game, a game whereby you have to move and push runes off the edge of a screen until only one remains.

AmiKlotski - A block moving puzzle game for the Amiga by Zooperdan with music by Kragle

Zooperdan is no stranger to us on IndieRetroNews, as although he runs a brilliant website called dungeoncrawlers.org, he has released a number of puzzles games for the Amiga, such as Luma, Yawoffa and Pjusk. While I'm not a fan of puzzlers and miss a good crawler however, I thought it would be worth mentioning his latest release called 'AmiKlotski'. A game in which he describes as, a very challenging puzzle game that is now available for the Amiga.

Luma - Laser based puzzle game for the Commodore Amiga is now available

Great news if you're looking for something different other than a platformer, as thanks to the creator contacting us just moments ago, we've been told that Zooperdan has released his laser based sliding puzzle game for the Amiga called 'Luma'; an Amiga port of the amazing game Luma, made by Shallan for the C64. Yes indeed if you're looking for a good game to play right now, then you'll be pleased to know this game features 128 levels of goodness as you test your puzzling skills to the max!

Yawoffa - A small word puzzle for the Commodore Amiga by Zooperdan

While Zooperdan is best known for visiting dangerous dungeons with a +10 mace in his hand battling menacing creatures, or working on his own dungeon crawling website called dungeoncrawlers.org. Just recently however he's delved into a new area of gaming expertise and released a new game for the Commodore Amiga called yawoffa; A small word puzzle game requiring just Kickstart 2.x and 1mb chip ram (or greater).

The Quest - From Mobile to PC Dungeon Crawler, but was it worth the wait? (Review)

A while back the Hungarian developer Redshift announced they were working on a revamped and improved PC version of their hit mobile crawler The Quest. I was already well aware of Redshift's ability to cook up killer crawlers after playing and completing Legacy with numerous expansion packs. I also logged quite a few hours playing the mobile version of The Quest, even though I don't particularly like playing games on phones. It's hard to explain why, and I'm not going to go into it here. It might be a topic for another day and another article :)

A dungeon crawler quiz from Zooperdan - Can you name them all?

Our good friend Zooperdan who not only owns the dungeon crawlers website and did the recent Dungeon Kingdom preview, has given us and our readers a really good challenge, to see if we consider ourselves to be veteran dungeon crawler aficionados. So those of you who remember playing games such as Dungeon Master or Eye of the Beholder, with its creepy tight corridor dungeons and grid based movement with enemies traps and puzzles, may well find this quiz to be a worthy yet fun challenge to take part in.

Dungeon Kingdom - A retro inspired dungeon crawler but is it any good? (Preview)

It’s that time again - a new grid based first person dungeon crawler has been released and I’ve been really looking forward to this one! I've been following it’s progress for a while and building up a fair amount of anticipation and expectation. Now it’s out, and even if it’s in Early Access right now, I could not resist giving it a play through. I’m normally quite reluctant to playing Early Access games, since I’ve more than once witnessed developers gladly taking my money and then abandoning further development.
