Cauldron - Halloween Edition - A brilliant game from the 1980's gets an improvement via AI/Devil-System

Devil-System has resurrected Palace Software’s 1985 classic with the release of Cauldron: Halloween Edition for the Amstrad CPC. Originally designed by Steve Brown and Richard Leinfellner as a genre-blending platformer and horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up, the game follows a witch's perilous quest to defeat the "Pumpking" and claim her title as the Witch Queen. While the original release garnered praise for its dual gameplay modes and visuals, it was notoriously infamous for its punishing, excessive difficulty. This new edition helps that issue by packing in three distinct difficulty levels, a dedicated training mode for relaxed exploration, a built-in map, and modern conveniences like a pause feature, a high-score table, and essential game-saving capabilities across four supported languages.

Cauldron Scare Attack - A PC Shoot em up inspired by 8bit classic Cauldron

Looking through itch io I've found out that developer Sunteam has officially released Cauldron Scare Attack, a fast-paced single-level score attack game developed for Windows. According to the website, the title serves as a modern homage to Palace Software's legendary classics, drawing direct inspiration from the original Cauldron—originally crafted by Steve Brown, Tony Barber, and Simon Dunstan—as well as its iconic sequel, Cauldron II, which featured the talents of Brown, Richard Leinfellner, and Richard Joseph.

The Witch - A ZX remake of the classic 8-bit game Cauldron from Palace Software.

Ah "Cauldron", what a game that was, flying about the landscape on your broom shooting bats and jumping platforms while avoiding baddies. Hard to believe it was released all those years ago in 1985 for the ZX Spectrum, C64 and Amstrad CPC! But today we are going to feature something special for fans of that classic game, as moments ago the remake of the game which Serranito Online are calling 'The Witch', has been released for the ZX Spectrum.

Wicked Witch - Cauldron Demake for Flappy Bird (Browser Based)

Ah "Cauldron", what a game that was, flying about the game on your broom shooting bats and jumping platforms while avoiding baddies. Hard to believe it was released in 1985 for the ZX Spectrum, C64 and Amstrad CPC. But today we are going to feature "Wicked Witch", which is a Cauldron demake turned into another Flappy Bird clone. Now I hate Flappy Bird but what I really liked about this demake was the ZX Spectrum loading screen and how well the clone looks and plays in it's witchy way. The aim of the game, tap to keep your witch in flight, but watch out for the pipes or it's game over!
