While many of you have already played Project R3D's River Raid style game of ' Bridge Strike ', you might also interested to know that as of today, Matze1887 has released an update to his previously released River Raid clone of ' RiverRaid Reloaded ' for the Commodore Amiga. Now if you've not heard of this classic game before, that's because it was originally released in 1982 for the Atari 2600, and then ported over to many different systems such as the C64 and ZX Spectrum as a game viewed from a top-down perspective, flying a fighter jet over the River of No Return in a raid behind enemy lines.

River Raid on Mars - 1980's classic River Raid on the Atari XL/XE heads to Mars
We've certainly featured a number of River Raid clones on Indie Retro News, with one being Project R3D's River Raid style game of ' Bridge Strike ' and even the River Raid clone of 'RiverRaid Reloaded' which was both released on the Amiga. Well you might also be interested to know that if you enjoyed the original classic, you can now download the Mars version of that game which was recently released for the Atari XL/XE by Matias Dimitrov.

As we said before in our recent article, many months ago the creators of Tanks Furry , Project R3D, released a teaser for their in development Amiga game ' Bridge Strike ', which had a backers winter demo along side the announced AmiGameJam and was awarded second place in the Game Competition at RetroKomp event in Gdańsk. But today there's a BIG shocker, as although Bridge Strike was due to be released during April, we've actually been told the full game can be digitally downloaded RIGHT NOW!

As we said before in our previous article, many months ago the creators of Tanks Furry , Project R3D, released a teaser for their in development Amiga game ' Bridge Strike ', which had a backers winter demo along side the announced AmiGameJam and was awarded second place in the Game Competition at RetroKomp event in Gdańsk. But today the developers have given us another update, as not only is the game classed as a modern version of Activision's River Raid, but the website is now accepting pre-orders for the digital download!

PR 0.1 - New WIP shooter from the developers of Tanks Furry
If top down tank blasting action is not to your liking, then how about this very early teased footage of a new River Raid style fly by shooter, developed by PROJECT R3D called ' PR 0.1 ' (Name subject to change ). From the creators of Tanks Furry, and using the same design graphics, you look to be flying a jet through tight landscapes avoiding obstacles at very fast speeds. So far we don't know a lot about the game or if it will have enemies, other than this prototype footage that was shown just last month.
