Upcoming Chaos Engine for the C64 gets its second downloadable preview!

Chaos Engine from 1993 was an incredible game developed by the very famous Bitmap Brothers. A game that featured one or two players battling it out as a top down shooter genre against the evil creations of the titular Chaos Engine through four landscapes and a very decent set of weaponry! Well if you remember this fantastic game on the Amiga, Marvin Hardy has not only released the second preview of the game(lots of bugs), but you can see the game being played in this footage provided by Saberman.

Tower 57 - Retro inspired shooter gets an Amiga release!


After all the news updates regarding Benitosub and Cyangmou's 16-bit shooter ' Tower 57 ' ; which is an arcade love child of Alien Breed and Chaos Engine. We are pleased to announce this fantastic game has been released for the Amiga such as AmigaOS 4.1, MorphOS and AROS. This game that smashed through a Kickstarter success and Steam Greenlight, was previously released for the PC and was regarded as a great game that anyone could pick up and play.

We've been banging on about ' Tower 57 ' for many months now, ever since it was first announced as a retro inspired shooter to that of Alien Breed and even Chaos Engine from the glory days of the Amiga. Well as of today, the team behind the game benitosub and cyangmou, have announced the Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight success of 'Tower 57' is finally available on Steam and GOG for both PC and MAC!

This is just brilliant news and more so as it's a game that has featured highly on our website, as Cyangmou has told us that not only is the Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight success of 'Tower 57' coming to a home computer near you 16th November 2017. But the team behind the game Pixwerk and 11 bit studios have released a 11 FACTS about Tower 57 - premiere date trailer, which features more than your average retro inspirations!

Tower57 - Alien Breed and Chaos Engine inspiration with new Amiga footage


It was only a few days ago we mentioned Pixwerk and 11 bit studios 16-bit shooter 'Tower 57' will be releasing soon on GOG and Steam for PC and Mac; an arcade love child of Alien Breed and Chaos Engine with fantastic 16-bit styled pixel art. Well you'll be overjoyed to know if you have an Amiga, especially an Amiga OS4, MorphOS or AROS, this game has recently been shown running on a A1222 Tabor, compiled and adjusted to natively use the Tabor's SPE floating point unit.

Tower 57 - Retro inspired shooter gets slick gifs and an alpha update!


After all the pushing and persuading we did for Benitosub and Cyangmou's 16-bit shooter ' Tower 57 ' ; which is an arcade love child of Alien Breed and Chaos Engine, we are pleased to show the game off again with brand new gifs and an alpha update. This recent Steam Greenlight and Kickstarter success for PC, MAC and even an Amiga port appeared in our news feed today, as the developers had sent out an mail to specific Alpha-tier (and above) backers containing the download link for their very first Alpha build.  ( Warning gif heavy )

Tower 57 - Retro inspired shooter with a Chaos Engine vibe Kickstarter success!


A rather surprising update today as this Kickstarter was so close to be doomed to failure but with just hours to go and one big push by the community, 'Tower 57'; the retro inspired shooter in an Amiga style, is not only a Kickstarter success but has also gathered enough thumbs up to be Steam Greenlit. To say we are overjoyed is an understatement as ever since our first feature and the big Kickstarter post, we've been eagerly awaiting to play Benitosub and artist Cyangmou's retro inspired shooter that has oodles of Chaos Engine charm.

Tower 57 - Retro inspired shooter Amiga Kickstarter update!


Even though we have already done a big feature on Benitosub and artist Cyangmou's retro inspired shooter of 'Tower 57', which is currently going through a Kickstarter campaign. We are here to inform you of some very special news for Amiga owners, that came as a huge surprise by the retro gaming community just days ago. Not only is Tower 57 a PC, MAC and Linux Steam Greenlight success, but the developers have announced an Amiga port to be created by Daniel 'Daytona675x' Müßener, (who is known for coding the NG-Amiga Battle Squadron remake-ports, the Cherry-Darling games and who's currently also working on Warp3D).

Developed by Benitosub and the artist Cyangmou, with a recent heads up by one of our readers Alexh, 'Tower 57' is an arcade shooter inspirational love child of those gaming greats Alien Breed and Chaos Engine, which even today are still played on the Amiga!

Tower57 - Gorgeous 16-bit arcade game with Amiga inspirations - New GIFS


Last month we featured a very special looking game that had both Alien Breed and Chaos Engine inspirations. And that game was 'Tower 57' developed by Benitosub and artist Cyangmou. Classed as an arcade shooter love child of those gaming greats but with far higher detail of gorgeous 16-bit pixelated artwork. The game is set in a dystopian future in which humanity has found refuge in self-sufficient mega towers and a government conspiring to keep its citizens subjugated.  Today's latest update features some brand new gif images to whet your appetite! Every so often there's a very special game that really catches my eye, and Tower57 by Benitosub and artist Cyangmou looks to be high up on that scale. It is the arcade love child of Alien Breed and Chaos Engine with fantastic 16-bit styled pixel art and interactive and destructive environments. According to the developer the game is set in a dystopian future in which humanity has found refuge in self-sufficient mega towers and a government conspiring to keep its citizens subjugated. Currently the game is still in very early development but it will be coming to PC, Mac and Linux!
