Alternate Reality Intro Music Recreation Last Half - A euphoric melody remake of a 1980's RPG
Through all the years of playing games, what stands out the most isn't always the gameplay, but that soundtrack that plays in the background to set the tone of the game being played. The creepyness of Silent Hill, the upbeat tempo of Arkanoid on the C64, or even the melody of Zelda still playing in our minds to this day. So why am I mentioning this now? Well Jace Hall has found his musical love, as he has done a recreation of the melody of Alternate Reality - The City, an RPG type game released by the American company Datasoft in 1985-88 for a multitude of computers.
Giana Sisters DS - Giana Sisters for the Nintendo DS gets the C64 SID treatment
On my C64 at home I have well over a thousand C64 SID tunes, ranging from music used in classic games in the 80's, to homebrews and even tunes used in scene demos. But this evenings release via CSDb is a little bit special. As LMan has made available for the C64 his SID remake of the 2009 Nintendo DS version of Giana Sisters, which was composed and arranged by Fabian del Priore aka Rapture, and is itself a cover of Chris Hülsbeck's original Giana Sisters Title Theme.
RESHOOT R - Richard Löwenstein's new Amiga game gets a wicked soundtrack
Another Amiga update as Richard Löwenstein, the same developer behind the commercial enemy wave blaster on the Amiga called ' Reshoot ', has shown off a music teaser for his previously announced in development Shoot em up coming in 2017 for the same system as 'RESHOOT R'. Coded in pure assembler language, RESHOOT R will almost follow the same game style as the first game but be louder, more colourful, more playable, more spectacular and now more upbeat!
RGDS Podcast Presents - Born Slippy (Indie Trance Remix) for the Amiga
Aaron White of RGDS Podcast has gone back to his other speciality, remixing old music tracks onto the Amiga. This time though he's done a bit of Trainspotting, as he has released the RGDS Podcast Presents - Born Slippy (Indie Trance Remix); a trance remix of Born Slippy, the massive number one track by Underworld, taken from the film Trainspotting! Overall though, this is a very decent remix that would sound great with a big Subwoofer, oh and if you're interested, they are making a sequel to the Trainspotting movie!
RGDS Presents - 2 Unlimited (RGDS Megamix) by Aaron White (Amiga)
Ah finally, a worthy tune indeed for the Amiga, as Aaron White has pushed out another Sampled remix with the latest ' RGDS Presents - 2 Unlimited (RGDS Megamix) for his friend @freakin_frankie. Yes indeed, it's the original 1990's upbeat dance team of 2 unlimited, that I used to listen to all those years ago. Featuring Get Ready For This, Tribal Dance and No Limits, all put together that sounds as cool then as it does now! In fact it's so feature packed, Aaron has actually had to cut down the module to fit it on the disk and enclosed the full version separately in the download below!
RGDS Presents - Aaron White's Amiga Jamiroquai (Space Cowboy Club Mix)
It's the weekend and that means it's time for another Aaron White release from our good friends RGDS, who do cool podcasts with lots of retro chat. In this sample track for your Amiga, Aaron White has taken us back in time to the 90's with none other than Space Cowboy from Jamiroquai in RGDS Presents - Jamiroquai's (Space Cowboy Club Mix) remixed by Aaron White, which was all sampled on an Amiga 1200. If you remember the original, then this remix is as good as it gets, it's just shame that I never liked the song artist, his dress style or the awful original.

A double track Amiga special from Aaron White
While we wait for the epic Aaron White special that hopefully will appear before Christmas, he's decided to take some time out and work on a couple of sample disks for the Amiga, that many of you may remember of during the 90's dance scene. The first one is the ' Urban Cookie Collective ' - ' The Key the Secret ' in loving memory of Diane Charlemagne, with all the samples done by himself, Aaron White. Which if I remember correctly of the original, was always played on the Radio, while my Mum drove me about in her XR3i!
RGDS Presents Do The Bartman (Bart Mix) - The Amiga blasts out a Simpsons classic.
Well this tune tacks me back, back to a time of 90's cartoons and upbeat cassettes, it's the upbeat and amusing ' RGDS Presents Do The Bartman (Bart Mix) by Aaron White. A remix of the classic ' Do the Bartman ' which was originally released in 1990 as a rap song from the Simpsons album ' The Simpsons Sing the Blues ', performed by The Simpsons character voice of Bart Simpson, with Michael Jackson and Dan Castellaneta providing additional vocals.

C64 Demos 2013/14 - Impressive demo scene experience
Although we've done a number of Amstrad and C64 remixes we haven't featured an actual C64 demo scene before and that is about to change today! These are two of some of the best live demo scenes available to view on Youtube, from the C-64 Demo Competition BFP 2013 to LIVE at X 2014. The demo that blew me away was "20 years is nothing; a visually impressive petscii demo that tells it's own story.
Retro Asylum Christmas - Aaron White's great Christmas Amiga Album
Last Christmas I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away.... Ok I'll stop singing now, but Aaron White (@aaronub4t on twitter) has just sent me an ADF copy of his compilation of great pro-tracker Christmas tunes (Retro Asylum Christmas) which are a collection of tracker songs that are sure to be very festive for the upcoming season of Santa and Snow.
Press Play On Tape - C64 Comic Bakery Larger Than Pop Remix
I usually wait till Sundays for showing the best or latest in retro remixes but this tune is just class! Now I'm not one for boy bands, no I don't swing that way :p but this tune is seriously cool. It has a slight C64 love making tone to it as well, especially with the guy making out with the C64 in bed! Still though, the tune is very well done and worthy of a listen. - Press Play On Tape - Comic Bakery Larger Than Pop Remix
Necropolo - Test Drive Floppy Remix!
Bit of a slow news day today, so in searching I found this slightly strange remix! What do you get if you mix the tune of Test Drive C64 and a bunch of floppy drives? Well here it is, this is the Test Drive Floppy Remix by Necropolo. I'm surprised they still work ;)

8-bit Tune: Le Carnaval des Animaux - Aquarium - Saint-Saëns
What would Le Carnaval des Animaux - Aquarium sound like, if it was in 8-Bit? Well, have a listen to this fine remix and find out :)
En Festival i 8 Bitar: Invitro - 8bit Tune!
This is such a great tune, it almost has the flavor of an Amstrad title but with slightly more upbeat attitude. This is En Festival i 8 Bitar: Invitro, which I believe is the intro to the 8bit festival? ;)
What is love - 8 bit music remix
It's that time again when we listen to some great 8-bit remixes and this time it's What is Love 8 bit! Such a great tune, this and the original :D
