Moonstone - Preview of an Amiga hack and slasher classic for the Amstrad CPC!

If you've got an Amiga or an Amstrad CPC or just remember playing both of these systems growing up, then this piece of news is sure to blow your mind! As the 1991 Amiga Mindscape classic ' Moonstone : A Hard Days Knight ' has been teased on the Amstrad CPC as a preview. Titled as just ' Moonstone ' and made available by Jean-Marie, this is a very early dev port of the most incredible and gorish Amiga hack and slasher/beat em up game of its time.

Thy Sword - Tiny pixelated action platformer gets an early launch Trailer


Even more retro inspirations today and one that looks a lot more pixelated than Tower 57, is the upcoming hack n' slash platformer ' Thy Sword '  which not only had a successful Steam Greenlight campaign we've since been told the developers GamePhase have released a brand new launch Trailer to coincide with a possible November release! As noted by our previous write ups, Thy Sword draws its inspiration from Norse mythology with a touch of Conan the Barbarian, mixed up with great games such as Golden Axe, Moonstone and surprisingly enough Bubble Bobble.

Moonstone CD32 - Hot news as an Amiga gem is being beta tested on the Amiga CD32!


If you've got an Amiga CD32 then prepare to have your jaw dropped, as we've just heard from our good friend Earok that a beta version of the incredible and most famous Amiga hack n slasher of all time ' Moonstone ' has been made available for the Amiga CD32. This game which lives on in the hearts of many was first released on the Amiga by Mindscape way back in 1991 as Moonstone : A Hard Days Knight. It was and still is a very gory game and one that if you have in your collection fetches a high price!

Ubisoft RPG Classic Iron Lord Gets Patched By T.A.C

You've all played Moonstone right? (who the hell hasn't?). You all know how awesome that game was, well Iron Lord on the C64 by Ubisoft which has recently been patched by TAC to iron out some of the original bugs, is like a mini version of Moonstone, complete with adventure, exploration, fighting, and archery! The archery competition is no doubt the best part of the game, it's slightly repetitive but still lots of fun, it almost reminded me of Hypersports, trying to pick the right timing and angles to hit the board.

Slain! - Gorish platformer gets a new gameplay trailer and more!


We were one of the first sites to mention this gorish platformer of Slain! developed by A Wolf Brew Games, which is coming to your PC, MAC and Linux for Steam 2015. But now those same developers behind this incredibly pixelated mash of blood and body parts, not seen since the days of Moonstone have now not only released a game play trailer featuring Metal music from Celtic Frost, but also some new animated gifs to get your bloody giblit juices flowing!
