Burn Us EXP - The sequel to Burn Us as an MSX cartridge release

During the early part of this year we announced the launch of the MSXDev competition in which people from around the world could come together to create MSX games and hope to win an overall top place. Well one of those games entered was Burn Us; a Konami inspirational game that gives you the experience of what it's like to be a member of a weird and masochistic sect. Although the competition is still ongoing, the creators felt a cartridge version was needed and not only that, an expanded edition full of additional surprises!

YM2017 - A Musical cartridge treat for the Sega Genesis/Megadrive

Our good friend @Diagamblic has just contacted us via our Twitter feed of a rather interesting cartridge by Catskull Electronics that is sure to blow both your mind and your speakers. This is the ' YM2017 ' cartridge; a brand new compilation album on a cartridge for the Sega Genesis and Megadrive that features a large amount of songs from a bunch of really cool musicians. Songs such as Palm-O-Rama, Deliverance, Astro Blaster, Sunset Beach Galaxy, Latin Night Funk, A Night To Let Go, Solar Modulation, Festicity Zone and Hostage Extraction.

FROGS/SHOTGUN 4-player cartridge (+2 Joystick Ports) - A great C64/C128 cartridge is coming soon

Most of you C64 and C128 owners will probably like this news, as Dr. Wuro Industries has announced that the 4 player games Frogs and Shotgun, will be coming soon as a dual game cartridge, containing +2 joystick ports for double the player fun. If you remember these two games, that's because Frogs was announced by us earlier in the year developed by Christian Gleinser of Dr. Wuro Industries, and Shotgun Xmas Edition as a 2-4 player arena death match game.

Tempest Elite - Dave Theurers 1980's shooter has arrived on the Atari 8-bit

Great news from the Atari 8-bit community, as Dave Theurers tube based shooter ' Tempest ' has been commercially released on the Atari 8-bit as Tempest Elite. First released in 1981 on the Arcades, Tempest was released by Atari Inc and puts you in control of a claw like spaceship blasting enemies on a three-dimensional surface, divided into multiple segments or lanes. A great game for its time that's still worth playing today, is ready for purchase as a cartridge price at $49.95.

Silverrock Collection - A great easyflash release on the C64 featuring Hugo!

Many of you are probably still playing through the newly released preview of Galencia on the C64, but there's another special release that has recently appeared today and that's the Silverrock Collection released by SNAQZ. This easyflash cartridge bonanza took us completely by surprise as it's a tribute to some of the coolest and strangest games that have come from a company well known for putting games on the tv!

NRG: Complete Playthrough - Wild Streets [Amstrad GX4000]

Ever since the popular Kung-Fu Master, 2D beat 'em ups reached a pinnacle in the late 80's/early 90's with many falling into the 'mediocre' category. Wild Streets is one such title. Brought to us by Titus Software 1990, James Taylor's goon-bashing exploits reached several systems including the Amiga, ST and C64. Surprisingly, it also got a release on the Amstrad GX4000. Icicle Race - Push the blocks in this puzzling C64 game by RGCD

I've heard your cries and you want something different other than a platformer. Well now it is RGCD's time to shine as they too have released a game for the RGCD C64 16KB Cartridge Game Development Competition 2015, but unlike the others this isn't a platformer! This is an Arcade Puzzle game called ' Icicle Race ' and the aim of this rather nice game, is to clear the level from all flames without burning yourself to a crisp!

Pickle's Pod Patrol [16kb Cartridge] - Rescue all the Podlets in this upbeat C64 release

This RGCD C64 16KB Cartridge Game Development Competition is almost overwhelming us, as there's just so many C64 games it's just mind blowing. Especially as another game to grace our gaming screens, is Uppercase Software's C64 game ' Pickle's Pod Patrol [16KB Cartridge '. The aim of the game in this one? To rescue all the podlets on each level by pushing them towards home!

T.H.E.A. [16kb Cartridge] - A My Little Pony C64 game created for his daughter and released for all today!

If ever my sisters said to me, can you make us a game? I'd either say I didn't have the time or in truth I'd say I have no idea how to. But that didn't stop Simon Quernhorst for making a C64 game for his daughter and releasing it for the RGCD C64 16KB Cartridge Game Development Competition 2015. Welcome to ' T.H.E.A ' with music by Richard Bayliss; a game created for his daughter to get used to the controls and retro computers, but made available for everyone, more especially with small children.

Bug Hunt [16kb cartridge] - Lots of arcade fun to be had in this C64 homebrew!

This could possibly be the best RGCD C64 16KB Cartridge Game Development Competition yet, as of all the releases so far that I have played, I haven't yet found a game that I really disliked. This is especially true of Majikeyric, NEO and Yogibear's new game of ' Bug Hunt [16kb cartridge] ' for the C64! It has the hall markings of a top quality C64 homebrew that everyone should play at least once!

Sam's Journey - Knights of Bytes latest C64 game gets a first look cartridge!

As many of you know for some time now we've kept a keen eye on Knights of Bytes rather special in development platformer ' Sam's Journey ' which is coming to the C64. But this time we have been informed by RetroNerd that the developer has shown off the very first prototype of the cartridge that may be the precursor to the commercial product when it's released at some point this year. In fact it isn't just any cartridge but in joining forces with Individual Computers they have created one that not only has the game on it but is also able to save your progress!

Powerglove - C64 Run'n'Gun on Physical Cartridge release

Despite having a thriving enthusiast coder community, there are still few releases for the 30 year old Commodore 64 and even fewer still physical releases, so it gives me great pleasure to announce that Lazycow games have released their 2013 RGCD C64 16K Cartridge Game Development Competition 3rd place entry on physical C64 cartridge as well as .crt downloadable and PC/MAC/Linux systems.
