Dizzy's New Adventure - A Dizzy fan game like never before!
We've featured many Dizzy fan games over the years, games such as Adventure Land Dizzy, Dizzy The Last Hero, Sunken Castle Dizzy and even the brilliant Dizzy The Last Hero v2 to name but a few. But now there's a new Dizzy fan game that caught our eye and that's Dizzy's New Adventure; a demo by Verm-V and Luis Zuno that is sure to excite every Dizzy gamer since the 80's!
DIZZY IN BAGO BAGO ISLAND - A new Dizzy fan game for all to enjoy!
If you are a fan of the Dizzy games by the Oliver Twins or want a fun little adventure to play, then come and check out Steve Johnstone's brand new Dizzy fan game called ' DIZZY IN BAGO BAGO ISLAND' developed using DizzyAGE! This is Steve's first game where you can carry up to 5 items and the story goes that the evil Zaks has transported Dizzy and the Yolkfolk to BagoBago Island, a Magical Island Somewhere off of the Bermunda Triangle. It's down to you as Dizzy to explore this mysterious island, solve lots of puzzles and to find the Yolkfolk!
Dizzy's 30 Year Anniversary - DizzyAGE Remake of the 2011 HD Remake of Prince of the Yolkfolk released!
Throughout the years I've always tried to keep you informed to the latest developments coming out from our good friends the YolkFolk in regards to the latest fan based Dizzy games created using the DizzyAge software. And thus today it is with great pleasure to announce that not only is this year a 30th Anniversary of Dizzy, but the 2011 Android and iOS HD Remake of Prince of the Yolkfolk Dizzy game by DNA Dynamics Inc, has been ported to the PC as a DizzyAGE remake by VK007.
Dizzy XII - Dizzy Underground gets a DizzyAGE Remake
In 2001 Gogin from Russia released the Dizzy fan game 'Dizzy XII: Underground' for the ZX Spectrum. Yet fast forward to this year and a PC DizzyAGE remake has appeared by VK007 and again stars that lovable egg who has got himself into a bit of bother. He's landed his rocket onto a strange new world and as always has to help out the Yolkfolk.
DizzyAGE Easter Competition has ended, winners announced!
Every year Yolkfolk.com hold their annual DizzyAGE Easter competition and every year many fan based developers step forward to show off their creative Dizzy fan based games to come first place. Well this year has been no different for entries as the DizzyAGE Easter 2016 competition is over and we have the winning entries announced. Coming in first place is "Dizzy in the Dungeons" by Dr. Titus, second place is "Crystal Kingdom Dizzy (Remake)" by Adam Markey (Adz.M) & Comm, third place for "Dizzy Goes to Hollywood" by Steve Rennie (Grandad) and lastly, fourth place goes to "Daisy's Odd Day" by again Steve Rennie (Grandad)!
The legend of Daisy : A Diz To The Past - Zaks is still being a pain in another Dizzy fan adventure!
If the other Dizzy game gave you the urge to go on another adventure, then how about 'The legend of Daisy : A Diz To The Past' (Legend of Zelda?), developed by Andrew Goulding (AndyG), which was only just released for the PC as a demo! In this game, just like the last one, Zaks is being a real annoyance, but unlike before, Zaks has stolen all of Dizzy's gathered money and declared himself emperor of a police state. It's down to you, to put a stop to him, which may involve a bit of time travel.
Dizzy & Seymour : The Dark Wizard - Retro character duo in a new Dizzy fan adventure!
Good morning you fine fellows, it's a new a week so what better way to start it off than playing a brand new Dizzy fan game for the PC from Adam Markey (Adz.M), titled ' Dizzy and Seymour - The Dark Wizard '. A rather special release indeed, as this is the first fan game to be made in widescreen, and giving you the ability to play as either the classic Yolkfolk egg ' Dizzy ' or the real world spin off character Seymour. Two classic characters that were a joy to play in their own adventures, way back in the 80's!
Crystal Kingdom Dizzy - Classic Dizzy is back and he's out of beta
Dizzy fans have we got news for you as we've just heard from the YolkFolk, of the final release for the remake of 'Crystal Kingdom Dizzy'. First released in 1992 on many different systems by Codemasters such as the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, DOS, and Amiga, has now been given a graphical de-make to the likes of the 8 bit classics. Not just that but unlike the original version, this one has been made into a traditional Dizzy style game and is no longer split into four levels.
The DizzyAGE Easter Competition 2015 winners!
What a fantastic year 2015 has been for Dizzy, as many different developers stepped up to the task of creating a new Dizzy adventure using the DizzyAGE engine. This is the 'DizzyAGE Easter Competition 2015 ' through YolkFolk.com; which began during the early part of the year, ended in June and the finalists have been announced today. In all 6 Dizzy games became the top entries, with not just some fantastic detail that even the Oliver Twins would be proud of, but great animation, sound and music. So here we go with the winners list!
Mushroom Kingdom Dizzy - A new DizzyAGE Easter Competition entry!
Egotrip is back with another Dizzy title and this time it's a Dizzy and Mario mash up for the upcoming DizzyAGE Easter competition, featuring some of those well known Dizzy characters and Mario enemies! Mushroom Kingdom Dizzy is developed in that 8-bit and 16-bit style, and once again you play as Dizzy but this time Dizzy has blacked out after his meeting with Zaks and has woken up alone in the Yolkfolk village.
Daisy Wants Flowers - New Dizzy fan game from Steve Rennie
It's a Dizzy Sunday as not one but two DizzyAge developed fan games have now surfaced for your retro enjoyment. The first of today's releases is 'Daisy Wants Flowers' by Steve Rennie, which stars Dizzy on another adventure to find some flowers for Daisy. It's not the highest quality fan game we've seen, but does as usual, star our Dizzy hero as he needs to pick up items and solve puzzles along the way.
Crystal Kingdom Dizzy - DizzyAGE Community Project (11th Jan update)
Dizzy fans it's time to rejoice once more, as the latest January update has been made available for the DizzyAGE community project remake of 'Crystal Kingdom Dizzy'. The original CKD was first released in 1992 on a multitude of systems in a completely different graphical pallet than we were used to. It also had less involvement from The Oliver Twins and depending on who you asked, there were many who didn't like the original Crystal Dizzy game over previous Dizzy adventures.
Crystal Kingdom Dizzy - DizzyAGE Community Project WIP released!
It might be a late news article but this is one of those times that it just has to appear on Indie Retro News for a special release. We've just been informed on our Dizzy : RetroGaming group by Adam of Dizzy Age that major progress has been made on the open Community Project of the DizzyAGE remake of Crystal Kingdom Dizzy. Not only can the game be played and beatable ( Still work in progress ) but this release looks to be very special as it's taking Dizzy back to it's colourful 8-bit routes and is turning the game into what it should've been in the first place, a very good game!
Dizzy : Magic Maniax VI - Retro platforming with a twist!
Adam Markey (Adz.M) of YolkFolk and Dizzy : Retrogaming has released the latest Dizzy game for both modern gamers and those of us, like me, who are huge Dizzy fans. Developed using the platform engine by Andrew Ludford (AndyUK), you star as that lovable character Dizzy in another adventure story that relates to strange happenings in the Kingdom of Zakeria. As per usual you'll be jumping platforms, talking to characters and using items to solve puzzles. But what sets this one apart from the rest are the latest pallet cartoony graphics and a cool theme tune in the main menu.
Another Dizzy Day - EgoTrip once again goes retrogaming!
EgoTrip developer of the previous Dizzy game; Dizzy's Poker Night, which was his very first Dizzy Age title, has now moved onto his second release, Another Dizzy Day. For anyone that is a huge fan of that little white egg, especially going by our Facebook group at least, you can now play another Dizzy game in an all new adventure. Even though not much is known about the story, when it comes to these EgoTrip releases, you'll just know it's going to be enjoyable. When it comes to Dizzy, I'm sure he will once again be picking up items, talking to npc's and solving puzzles.
Dizzy's Poker Night - EgoTrip's first DizzyAGE game now available!
It has been some time since we've featured a new fan based Dizzy game, so when Adam on our Dizzy Facebook group gave Dizzy's Poker Night a mention, we just had to feature it! So here it is, Dizzy's Poker Night, EgoTrip's very first DizzyAGE game and one I'm sure you'll enjoy.
Rainbow Jewels Dizzy - A retro inspired classic for free!
As you may or may not know I'm a huge fan of Dizzy, especially as I have nearly every single Amstrad Dizzy game bar Spellbound Dizzy which I'm still trying to find. So without further ado it's time to mention the latest Dizzy inspired game that has appeared on DizzyAge, and that game is Rainbow Jewels Dizzy by the developer Grandad (No not my Grandad, that's just the developer). As usual with Dizzy you'll be solving puzzles, talking to characters and reliving classic 80's era gaming all in a quest to collect all the legendary rainbow jewels. A game we recommended for old and new gamers alike!
Spellbound Dizzy - A faithful remake of another classic Dizzy game
Dizzy games are a big hit on Indie Retro News as they are one of the greatest series of games ever to appear on retro based systems. Each game told it's own story about the little egg called Dizzy and the happenings with all his yolk folk friends, it was like a cartoon series but in a game. With plenty of different areas, difficult puzzles to solve, uniquely designed backgrounds and colorful characters this was a game series set in the hearts of millions. And it's with great pleasure to announce that DizzyAge have released another Dizzy game called Spellbound Dizzy, which is a faithful remake of the original 1990-91 game. Over 6 years of development by Peter Teal and the DizzyAge team, and featuring over 100 amazing screens with special scenes such as scuba diving and underground mine riding, this is a top notch remake that's available now for free!

As the developer states : Dizzy was made to stop at the lodge on his own whilst Daisy made a retreat to another. What has Dizzy done this time ? How is he going to make it up to Daisy ? Perhaps taking her some flowers, well not just any flowers will do it this time. Dizzy is going to have to take her the most special and beautiful ones that can be found in the land. Maybe if he can find the Enchanting Garden he can pick Daisy some enchanting flowers of exceptional and extraordinary beauty.
